Put me in, Coach!

In my last post I talked about what a busy year this is going to be.  I didn't even mention the girls' extracurriculars...

Well, soccer season has officially started and Corey Grace couldn't be any more excited.  Actually, I'm not sure who is more excited, Grace getting to have her daddy be the coach of her team or Corey getting to coach his little girl.  It's a toss up.

Corey has played soccer all of his life and he's been dreaming of the day he could be the coach of his kids' teams (even before we had any kids to coach!).

I'll just say that both daddy and Grace did an awesome job on the field yesterday.  And seeing all those little 4 year olds run around like crazy in different directions without a clue is the cutest thing ever.

SOCCER!

Had Bonnie not woken up covered in snot yesterday morning (gross!) she would have joined us for practice. As you can see, she is eager to play and even borrowed a pair of Grace's soccer shorts to kick around in in the backyard before we left.

Pass it to me, Coach!

While it may look like Corey is barking orders at the poor, heat exhausted girl, he is really just passing the ball with her before practice and is saying "pass" in this picture.

Go easy on her, Coach!

As is turns out, Grace's BFF, Mackenzie had practice at the same time two fields over.  Mackenzie is on the team for 6-year-olds and their practice actually lasted the whole hour so we got to check that out before heading to Chick-fil-a for lunch.  Grace was very impressed with Mackenzie's soccer skills!
