In the meantime, the girls have been finding lots of ways to earn their keep.
Grace's new favorite job is to feed George his dinner every night. She takes her job very seriously. Every afternoon at 4:30 (George loves his early bird special) Grace gets his bowl and takes it to the pantry where she opens the dog food container and scoops out 2 heaps. Then she takes his bowl back to the laundry room (with George right on her heals) and puts it back into his trough. George then thanks her, and proceeds to eat his meal in .4 seconds.
Grace is so proud of her accomplishment and we are so proud of her for being such a good helper. She'll tell us that if she doesn't make sure to get George his food, he'll go hungry.
Bonnie's job is to help Mimi water the plants and flowers on the front porch every morning. She, too, takes her job very seriously and we are also proud of her for being so helpful.
The weather has been so hot that we've been spending a lot of time inside. Dancing.
