Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday dear Bonnie, happy birthday to you!
I can hardly believe that it's been 2 years since my sweet little girl was born!
Since I didn't plan any sort of organized party for her this year, we spent the entire weekend doing fun things with our girl.
First up - Chuck E. Cheese's, aka, "Chukka Cheeth."
Bonnie loves this place and tells us nearly everyday that she is going to "Chukka Cheeth in da monin."
Up high, Chukka!
**Corey and I were able to sneak out on Saturday night with the Pattersons and the Dosses for the Trilogy Trolley Crawl in Roswell. Three historic homes were themed London, Paris, and Rome and featured food, drink, and entertainment from each city. Basically, we ate way too much food and maybe drank a little too much wine.
On Sunday we invited Grandma E.J. over for a little cookie cake...
Singing "Happy Birthday" to herself!
...and then the birthday girl put on her birthday suit to open a couple of presents.
Ready for bed?
Birthday Morning!
Bonnie's actual birthday was a busy one. We woke up, opened presents and headed over to preschool for the girls' open house. I can't believe that both of my girls are in school now!
The Future Concert Pianist
Notice the wardrobe change? Yes, Bonnie still loves Dora the Explorer and insisted that she put on her new Dora nightgown immediately upon opening it.
Last week, Grace and I ran a couple of errands and included in our outing was birthday shopping for Bonnie. Grace specifically told me that she wanted to get her baby sister "something special just from me." She picked out a Littlest Pet Shop and could hardly wait for Bonnie to open it.
Two concert pianists?
After dinner Bonnie got a special birthday cupcake, which she promptly dove right into.
She got tired of trying to pick it up with her fingers and eat it so she finally just stabbed her fork into the cupcake's side and picked it up like that!
Bonnie continues to be such a bright spot in our lives. She is sweet, spirited, and absolutely hilarious and we just love her to pieces!
A few quick things:
Bonnie now says "Gamps" for Gramps and has recently re-named PaPa, Pop Pop. She says "Guh-way-cee" for Grace. She loves fruit snacks, or "shoot nacks" as she calls them, which cracks me up every time she asks for them. She loves to sing and dance. I mean LOVES. She memorizes the words to every song she hears and sings her little heart out all day long. She is fiercely independent, preferring to walk up and down the stairs all by herself, and just this afternoon wouldn't let anyone help her get into the car or her carseat. She also likes to pick out her own clothes, which means interesting outfits at times.
Happy 2nd Birthday, sweet girl!!!! We love you so much and are so proud of you!
