Fripp Island - Day 3

We thought it would be a good idea to give the beach another try because, as Corey pointed out, we didn't drive 400 miles to go to the pool.

The result?  A chapped little Bonnie.

But, at least we tried and I got these beautiful pictures walking toward the water with my girls out of the deal.

Time to go to the pool!

Earlier that morning we took a walk on the beach.  It was so peaceful and of course Bonnie loved being chauffeured around in Coltrane's wagon (far away from the water!).

After the babies woke up from their naps that afternoon we headed over to the pool.  Bonnie was right at home splashing in the kiddie pool and sliding down the water slide.

We also made a pretty big discovery while we were there...Grace can swim without her floaties!! Apparently she got a wild hair and said that she wanted to take them off so Corey let her...AND...she swam! We are all so proud of her and I am so excited about signing her up for lessons this fall so she can hone her new skill.

Gaga has the right idea!

On the way back to the house we saw, by far, the most gigantic alligator I have ever seen in my entire life.  This guy was a sea creature.  At first, he was a little further down the embankment, but once he realized that everyone was pulling over to get a "closer" look at him he climbed up to the top of the hill and posed for pictures.  I swear he had a grin on his face, too.

Check out his teeth!!
