Polar Express Night with Dad

The big kids get to have all the fun.  And Bonnie does not like it at all.

The poor girl wanted to join Grace and Corey for Polar Express Night with Dad at preschool this evening, but alas, it was just for the Pre-K kids.  She kept asking, "Menneye (may I) go too?  Menneye peeth go, too?" And then she burst into tears when they left.  It was so sad!

On the other hand, Grace has been beside herself with excitement all day long about getting to have a special date night with her daddy.  She pulled her train ticket out of her school bag as soon as we got in the car this afternoon, and didn't stop talking about it until it was time to leave.

When Corey pulled into the driveway at 6:30pm (unheard of!), Grace was ready at the door in her jammies and her new puffer coat.  She wanted to take Bonnie with her, too, and asked if we were sure she couldn't go with them.

Love you, too!!

Before Bonnie realized she had to stay home with me.

From what I heard, they had an awesome time drinking hot chocolate, listening to the Father read The Polar Express, and working on a cute little craft together.

Wish I could have gone, too!
