Let me start this post with a gigantic THANK YOU to Mimi and Gramps for babysitting the girls for the last umpteen days and to Memaw and PaPa for helping us pack up and move over the weekend. We truly could not have managed without all of you, and we appreciate everything you all have done to help us.
To say we have been busy over the last 3 days would be a huge understatement. It's a really good busy though, and we are thrilled to finally be finished with the moving process and are excited to start the journey of making our new house a home.
That said, the girls and I will be staying at my parents' house until they kick us out. And then we will be knocking on Memaw and PaPa's door.
We have a significant amount of work to do on the new house, but I cannot wait to see the finished product. Tomorrow we start the process of interviewing contractors. Should be interesting as neither Corey nor I have any clue as to what we are doing.
We spent the 4th of July chilling around the house, running a few errands, and lighting sparklers before we "grilled in." We had plans to go see fireworks with the Pittmans tonight, but wouldn't you know that the weather didn't cooperate.
We softened the blow by letting Grace have an impromptu movie night. She chose Ratatouille, an excellent selection, and her usual popcorn and hot chocolate.
Bonnie turned in around 7:30pm. The poor girl was partied out.
