The Spa Treatment

This past Saturday we had a nice little distraction from painting the new house.  After another pancake breakfast with Mimi and Gramps, Grace and I got dolled up and headed over to Mackenzie's house for her 6th birthday party!  It was the most adorable spa-themed party, complete with hair and nails, face painting, and crafts.  And of course, gigantic cupcakes, too.

As the official manicurist of the party, I got to paint the fingernails of 14 little girls.  My girl naturally opted for pink glitter polish.

Mackenzie's Mimi was in charge of pedicures, Memaw handled the face painting station, and Aunt Alison braided hair.  These girls sure got pampered!

The gift bags were amazing...full of spa essentials and the cutest ribbon flip-flops that Ceylese and her mom made.  They are such a talented and creative duo!

Happy Birthday, Mackenzie!

Normally Grace would have put up a little fight when it was time to leave; however, this time she eagerly obeyed as she knew that she got to go back to Mackenzie's house a few short hours later for her first ever sleepover at a friend's house.  Stay tuned for pictures and stories about their wild night!
