"I feel a party coming on!"

It's really no wonder why Gracie pranced into the kitchen this afternoon and announced that she felt a party coming on.

We have had quite a lot to celebrate these last couple of days with Bonnie turning 23 months old and Grandma E.J. having a birthday, too.

But first things first.  I forgot to post these pictures of Bonnie enjoying one of her favorite foods.  Doughnuts. She insisted on sampling several, but finally settled on the chocolate cake.

The girls getting closer and closer every day.  While Grace has always been very affectionate, Bonnie, on the other hand, has always been a little more independent.  Lately, however, Bonnie has become much more willing to dole out hugs and kisses, especially if Grace is the one doing the requesting.

Bonnie has added a few more things to her list of tricks since her 22 month update.  At 23 months, she:
*can recognize and name the primary colors, although she likes to be silly most of time and will say that everything is "boo-yewwow" (blue-yellow).
*can count to ten in Spanish.  Thank you, Dora the Explorer.
*no longer says "base" for Gramps.  She can now say "ga-amps".  Still with a lisp.
*runs wherever she goes and says, "You can't catch me!"
*can jump and actually get both feet off the ground at the same time.
*likes to jump onto (and off of) furniture and says "oof" when she lands.
*loves to watch music videos on You Tube; especially Celine Dion's version of O Holy Night, and any Disney Princess sing-along song.
*Knows every word to Justin Bieber's Baby Oh.

We celebrated Grandma E.J.'s birthday, too, with a little party after lunch and homemade chocolate chip birthday cake with cream cheese frosting.  YUM.

Grace sang Grandma a "Happy Birthday" solo.  So sweet.

And because he was looking especially handsome, George got to have his picture taken for the blog.  If only he would have kept his party hat on!

This afternoon, Corey and I took Grace to see Rio at the dollar theatre.  It was such a cute movie and I can't wait until Bonnie is old enough to join us!
