Potty Training Bonnie: Day 2
Day 2 proved to be more successful than Day 1. Bonnie made it through the entire morning accident free, and even did a number 2 on the potty after having successfully tinkled on it twice. She also seemed a little less stressed about the whole thing.
We managed to have quite a bit of fun in between trips to the toilet. We played with Littlest Pet Shops, colored with markers, played the piano, had a picnic on the floor, and even watched an entire episode of The Little Einsteins. Oh, and we sang and danced to "Ring Around the Rosie" until we were both dizzy.
And by 12:30, Bonnie was exhausted and was ready for her nap.
Once again, Grace and Mimi took off and missed all of the morning excitement, but as soon as they got home from Monkey Joe's, Grace was ready to resume her role as official potty coach. She is so eager for Bonnie to learn how to use the bathroom like a big girl, and is doing a great job showing her how it's done.
After nap time it was back to business. We had only one minor tinkle accident on the carpet, but other than that Bonnie is doing great and is so proud of herself every time she is successful.
It's getting easier for me to gauge when she needs to go to the bathroom, too. In addition to getting a "look" on her face, she now grabs her hoo-ha and says, "no potty on for" (don't potty on the floor).
The girl gives good clues, huh?!
Here's to hoping that Day 3 is just as successful as Day 2!
