Last Day of School and Gymnastics Awards

My baby finished her first year of Preschool today!  I am so proud of Bonnie for everything she has learned this year.  She is growing up way too fast! 

My other baby finished her first year of gymnastics, too!  She LOVED it and can't wait for it to start up again in the fall.

I am so proud of Grace and all she has learned this year, too.  She has come long away since her first class.

Is it Bonnie...or is it Sarah Purcell?

I try hard no to admit to this too often, but Bonnie is a heck of a lot like I was as a kid.  Of course I mean sweet as pie and perfectly well-behaved.  An angel even.  

She also seems to have an affinity for turning her blankets into dresses (and headdresses).  Just like I did.  

When I was little, my idol, I have no idea why, was a TV personality named Sarah Purcell.  I would make my my mom wrap me up in my blankets so that I was wearing "dresses" (and headdresses).  If you'd like a visual of that, and who wouldn't, really, check out the following photos.

The Zoo with the Floraks

We spent a fun day at the zoo with some of our favorite friends today!  We even took a ride on the carousel and the little train.  I haven't done that since I was a little kid, so it was extra special fun for me, too.  

And Grace was so proud of herself when the conductor asked all of the passengers what is another name for a baby kangaroo.  She raised her hand and said in the cutest, sweetest little voice, "A joey!"  

It seems my little academic is paying attention at school after all!  

Just because.

Coolset.  Mom.  Ever.  That's me.  Yep, I let the girls eat cotton candy on the back porch for no reason tonight.  Just because.  

And I think I loved watching them love their treat just as much as they loved eating it!

Another great year for Mimio!  61...woo-hoo!  

We had a little party for her at our house, but not before we took her to our new favorite spot, Moxie Burger.  It is delish!

Just Me and My Girls

Easter 2012

The Easter Bunny visited again this year!  And of course he brought lots and lots of goodies for the girls, including new toothbrushes and toothpaste to scrub off their sugary teeth.  

While this year's story isn't quite as eventful as last year's, Bonnie did manage to make us all laugh again at church this Easter.  Once again, she misinterpreted what the priest was saying at communion.  While he was blessing the host, he said "the Body of Christ."  Bonnie's ears heard, the "Bonnie" of Christ, and she decided to let the entire congregation know it, too!
